How To Decorate Your Fireplace Mantle

Fireplace mantels are a great place to show off your style.  Fireplaces are often the focal point in a space so their mantles are wonderful spots to showcase collectibles or decorative accent pieces

When decorating a fireplace mantle, we like to draw from the colors and style present in the room.  Compliment the decor by choosing items in similar styles.  For example, in a traditional space using a classic wood clock and elegant scrolled metal candle holders, staying away from sleek modern lines.  An accent color can be pulled from the room and used in the candles placed in the candle holders.  Candle holders are a favorite of ours to place on mantles.  There are so many styles and sizes to choose from, they are easy to bring into any decor.

Overall,  fireplace mantles are fantastic places to show off your favorite things.  They are also convenient places to place items to tie the look of your room together.  For more decorating ideas visit

Tip Of The Day

We are often asked when is it appropriate to use a rug with a bold pattern in a space.  A good rule of thumb is to use a solid rug when there are a lot of patterns already in a room.  Go with a bold patterned rug when everyting else in the room is more solid or muted.  For more great ideas visit

Add Drama To Your Space With Candelabras

Candelabras adds a dramatic statement to any space.  They will dress up a dining table or add some interest to a sideboard or entry table. A tall standing candelabrum will add drama to a room.  There are so many styles to choose from, when selecting the perfect candelabra.  They range from rustic wrought iron, to sleek modern metals and glass.  It is important to choose a candelabrum in a style and size that fits your space.  Tall freestanding candelabras would overpower a small space.  Similarly, a small tabletop candelabrum would appear lost, when placed alone on a large table.  An easy way to choose one is to select a style to blend with the decor
already in the space.  For example, a rustic wrought iron candelabrum would work well if your room features a Tuscan flair.  Overall, candelabras are a striking accessory to add to any space.  Visit for more great decorating ideas.
