How to Size A Mirror

We are often asked how to determine the correct size mirror for a given space. We like to cut cardboard (or paper) to the measurements listed for the mirror you are interested in. You can then tape the cardboard it to the space you want to place it (using painters tape or another easy to remove tape). Don’t estimate, even professionals take the time to cut out a piece of paper or cardboard and attach it to the wall. It is important to make sure the size and shape fit your space. This is an easy way to judge if the mirror will be the right for the space. Also, don’t forget to take the frame into consideration when weighing your options. How heavy the frame is can alter the perception of the mirror’s size. (a thicker more substantial frame will appear to take up more of the wall) For more great ideas visit
